Colby Covington responds to Ian Machado Garry's 'I-Quit Match' proposal - "You don't dictate the terms c*** boy."

In response to Ian Machado Garry’s proposal for an “I-Quit” match, former UFC welterweight title contender Colby Covington has fired back with three conditions.

Ian Machado Garry has found himself in hot water due to excessive exposure to his personal life. Personalities like Sean Strickland and Colby Covington have been particularly vocal in their criticism, and Garry is eager to settle the score with them inside the octagon.

Recently, Ian Garry challenged Colby Covington to an “I-Quit” match, where one fighter must admit defeat by saying those exact words. This challenge from Garry was widely regarded as cringeworthy and was dismissed by the MMA audience.

Colby Covington on his ‘X’ account responded to Ian Garry by saying –

“Greeting nerds and virgins! It’s America’s champ, as you can see there’s nothing behind me, just like Ian Garry’s resume. We all saw your cringy a** video Ian and that ‘you will do what you told’ line only works when you’re the A-side or Conor McGregor not ‘corner McGregor’ you f*** c*ck.”

“Ian, you said a lot of dumb s*** but there’s one thing that I’ll agree with you on, Layla’s not a trophy! She’s a participation award as best! Which is fitting for you and your generation. You don’t dictate the terms here c**k boy! You’re a Gen Z beta and the only time when you dictate something when you’re on your knees for the nutritionist.”

“You are asking for gimmicks and you’re not even comprehending Jr. An I Quit implies there’s no disqualification and no time limit, no commission would ever approve that. And besides, we already saw you quit in December before the press conference. You wanna talk about what I am famous for? And my title fights? The only thing you’re famous for is parading around your nutrionist’s sloppy seconds like she’s miss universe. She’s 4 at best.”

“We all know you love to c**k it up! And you’re about to c**k your way up to this fight junior. So, here it is one last time! Just agree to the stipulations, number one ‘turn on the comments’, number two – ‘record Layla begging’ number 3 – ‘agree to the my bookie promo and we got a fight! Other wise, I’m fighting someone higher ranked this summer and you’ll do what you do best sitting there and watching all the action.”

What kind of challenge has Ian Garry proposed to Colby Covington?

What kind of challenge has Ian Garry proposed to Colby Covington?

Ian Machado Garry is looking to fight two fighters: Sean Strickland and Colby Covington. After his win over Geoff Neal at UFC 298, he called out Colby Covington because he is currently fighting in the welterweight division. Garry is prioritizing ending his grudge matches against Covington and Strickland, and this is how he is planning his fights before getting towards the title.

In response to Colby Covington’s persistent personal attacks, Garry challenged him to a WWE-style “I Quit” match. In this match, there are no restrictions, and the only way to win is for one fighter to verbally surrender by uttering the words “I quit.”

Garry on his social media, uploaded a video, where he targeted Covington and said –

“Listen here, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington. You are in no position to tell me what I should be doing in life. You’ll do as you’re told. You gave me three stipulations, all of which had nothing to do about fighting, but we’re all talking about my wife. I don’t know how you were raised, but women aren’t property. My wife definitely ain’t no trophy. You should be focusing on me. I’m the one who’s in that Octagon with you. I’m the one who’s going to punch a hole in your head, so stop swerving me and keep Layla’s name out your mouth.”

“You’re not America’s favorite fighter. What you are is a peak underperformer. You haven’t got a single win against anybody in the top 15 right now. Colby, why should I fight you? I can think of one reason. I challenge you to an ‘I Quit’ match, where one of us has to say, ‘I quit. Whoever says ‘I quit’ has to retire, gloves off, center of the Octagon, sayonara my friend. I’m going to be the final chapter in your legacy of failure. I am going to rid the UFC of Colby Covington for good. I’m going to make MMA great again.”
